How does your media product represent particular social groups?

The social groups of people that my magazine is aimed at is the more heavy rock to metal audience. The reason I picked these is because its more towards what I enjoy in terms of music.
The way in which I took the photo was rather different, the angle in which I took the photo was at a medium shot range to fit in the whole upper body. I took the photo during they day time to get as much natural lighting as possible, the clothing domed is the usual style you would expect any one into metal or hard rock to where. When the photo was taken she wasn't looking at the camera which at first seemed hard to work with but then felt that the fact she wasn't looking at the camera connotes a feeling of rebellion and an I don't care attitude. In a way I felt that the image conformed to the stereotype of hard rock fans because its all black and skulls but its what people are use to seeing so I don't really mind if that's the outcome.

In a way my magazine does have a pro-consumerist style because on the front cover of the magazine it has freebies and deals aimed towards the buyer to buy this magazine, I felt that putting these on the front would be the best option simply because that's how magazines these days make the most of there money.
